Excellent rousing sounds from this "New, new wave" group. Reminisent perhaps of the early 80's groups such as XTC.

With lyrics about Saturday night town-centre violence, tis my kind of music.

The stand-out tracks on the album so far are the singles "I Predict a Riot", "Oh My God" and "Everyday I Love You Less and Less." But the others have grower potential.

Note the comedic use of "Thee" archaic indeed but funny as fuck.

"Thee" is in fact contemporary dialect (esp. NE), just like "lairy".

I like the character of this band, but I have to admit they sometimes live up to liam's condemnation of the kaisers as 'a bad blur'. Not as imaginative as 'the futureheads', a far better 'northrock' alternative in my view.

Personally I prefer Franz Ferdinand who also have a retro thing going on. I saw them last year at The Waterfront in Norwich just before they hit the big time. Great gig.
