Morph, I've forgotten what your name is.

Good poems, Tristan.
Signature info:
If you don't like the black theme, it is easy to switch to a lighter color. Just ask me how.
If I don't critique your poem, it is probably because I don't understand it.

Thanks all. There's quite a few people from Eratosphere on July edition too such as Chris O'Carroll, Gail White, Jerome Betts and Joe Cocker.

Caleb, the poem of mine is the Ballad of the Siren Song. It's an old poem that got mixed reviews on here. I don't think you liked it but it goes to show that as long as an editor somewhere likes the poem then it's still worth sending out.

I don't remember it that well. In fact, I wonder if I critiqued it. But I do like it. Your ability to rhyme is impressive. The most I ever do is to rhyme every other line.

My poetry just doesn't impress the editor over there. I've sent him my best, and he's turned it all down.

I'll try to remember that your name is Michael.

Thanks Caleb, you can't win them all unfortunately. Sometimes a particular editor doesn't get your work and there's actually nothing wrong with the poetry, it's just a taste thing.

I also sent off my villanelle about the hording girl. I'm quite proud of it because writing villanelle is difficult but George didn't take that poem. I sent some short poems too, which he says he might use for a later issue.

On the plus side at least I can workshop my villanelle now on Eratosphere, which appears to be a formalist playground. Most of my 2023 stuff is free verse.

Congratulations Morph. Snakeskin is a good place to be. I'm guessing "hypotonic" is a typo? (But yours or George's?)

Joe's Larkin poem is great, isn't it?

Cheers

Thanks David, your eagle eye is much appreciated post publishing.

I've pinged George about the typo or autocorrect error. I'm not sure what's happened there.
