I don't remember reading that poem, but then, I'm not always participating here.
Of course, the poem has your signature smoothness. That poem strikes me as a little loose -- very wordy with a lot of flow. A lot of your poems are like that. That Amethyst liked that poem bodes well; I suspect you'll be placing a lot of poems there.

Signature info:
If you don't like the black theme, it is easy to switch to a lighter color. Just ask me how.
If I don't critique your poem, it is probably because I don't understand it.

Hi Caleb,
Actually, in MS., that is now two poems, with the first stanza standalone and somewhat cropped. You are not alone in your thinking! But I'm glad to have the original out online as well. And it did make me put back the Arabic epigraph.
Amethyst does seem a likely venue for a bunch of my stuff (they took two this time around), but I don't send much off to journals as a general rule. One day, perhaps I shall do.
Cheers,
John

Thank you, Not - I also remember your contribution! You spurred me on to tighten the end of S1, and that's how it now features in the MS. Here we have the version pre-PAT (Amethyst was not unduly quick in publication of this one).
Cheers,
John

You're welcome, John! I usually post your successes on Twitter, other PAT-ers' too. I don't have many followers as I don't really have time to keep up with loads of people, but occasionally I get an RT (^v^)
