We thought it would be good to have some exercises on here, for people to try new ways to get those creative juices flowing, and to explore some of the techniques of poetry. The idea is that we will post an exercise every week or so (depending on demand) and people can respond to it - they don't have to be polished, just first draft standard will do.

It would be good to get some comments back on the responses, but we would suggest that if you then want to workshop properly, then you repost in Beginners/Experienced.

If anyone has a good idea for an exercise, feel free to start a new topic.

We'd like to encourage all to have a go, whatever forum you normally post in.
Rosencrantz: What are you playing at? Guildenstern: Words. Words. They're all we have to go on.
