Here is my Lune...

Thunderous applause.
Rain merits:
thunderous applause.

Lune? The river of Lancaster? Actually, I'm still puzzling about Napokokamo - something to do with National Poetry Month. You are impressively fecund!

Cheers

Amazing. Never heard of them. Interesting.

Do you have to register for this NaPoMo, or can anyone join in? I might look for inspiration during my night out in Peel tonight. Although, the way I am at the moment, I'll end up with NaPoSloMo.

I still can't work out how you personalised it in your title.

Just join in!

Okay, I admit, I haven't.

It's just when you start writing NaPoMoWriFiNoGo you can't work out where to stop.

2.

The Sound of the Burn

claims the air. Not with volume.
Its title is the sound of fluency;
though heard so many times,
still fresh as sudden understanding.

The Sound of the Burn Water

claims the air:
Not with volume.
Its title is the sound of clarity

enchanting

though you have heard it
many times, fresh
as sudden understanding.

3.

The Gorse

adore their dreamy sun.
Five hundred puckerings
on this one bush alone.

Yes, me too, I think.

And you've made the gorse a collective noun in no. 3? That's interesting. Is it horticulturally correct? I've never thought of it (them?) like that. Like the Borg.

Cheers

Is it horticulturally correct?
No. Though spiritually correct.

Crofting

Why repair the roof on the old byre?
So there's somewhere for the bull.
Why keep a bull? To keep the byre in use.
Why keep the byre in use? Otherwise,
the roof may fall. Why repair the roof...

Window Down, Jaw Drop

I passed your field. Cold sheep
munching in a shape
that almost spelt my name:

carefully posed--by the mud,
by the panoramic sky,
by chance, odd Mister Chance.

Stone Wall

Been here so long.
Though not as long as you think.
Moss grows the illusion.

Slumps, slightly,
as though it's borne the weight of weather,
only now, casting off Winter,

intertwining with the welcome
of reflowering bushes.
Somewhere inside snakes hide.

The tuba is no instrument of love

except
when played
by one elephant to another.

Then
there is no greater ecstasy.
Ears quiver.
