National Poetry Writing Month - throughout April people try to write a poem a day. If anyone wants to have a go, post them under poetry exercises here.

http://www.napowrimo.net/ provide a prompt for each day

or there's inspiration here http://christinekloceklim.com/poetry/po ... ster-list/

Everyone very welcome to join in!
Rosencrantz: What are you playing at? Guildenstern: Words. Words. They're all we have to go on.

Are you doing this, Ros? I'll do it if you do?

I will give it a try! I hesitate as a) I don't write well to order b) I've failed before c) writing to prompts/for the sake of it feels artificial (though good practice). But triumph of hope over experience... let's do it!

Okay, I'm in.

About the prompts: I thought you provided the link just in case we needed inspiration. Did I misunderstand? Are we to write to prompts?

Whatever you like, Jackie. There are a couple of prompts in my first post, and also more here:

http://www.napowrimo.net/

and

http://poetrysuperhighway.com/psh/categ ... mpts-2016/

Both of these will give daily prompts. I thought leaving it open like this might be more inspiring than us producing a single prompt.

And they are off....

Here is my Lune (see the first prompt in NaPoWriMoDoReMeFarSoLaDeToe link)

What's the best way of doing this? Perhaps if everyone participating has their own thread and adds each new poem as a reply to themselves. Comments from others are very welcome, of course. Don't worry if you can't manage every day - any contribution is great.
