This is a word-cloud exercise. Click the link below to see the word-cloud (you will need Java working in your browser).

Study the cloud and try to find groups of words which inspire you to some sort of poem. You do not need to use every word and you can add as many extra words as you need to build the scaffolding around them.

You can also adjust the words exact forms: run -> ran, train -> trained, horse -> horses etc.

The Self Declared Rights of a Bus Driver
(or Ode to My Father-in-Law)

He breakfasted his religion of self service
before leaving for work. Consumed
the communal dignity (of those he loved most)
by the time his coffee had chilled in his cup.

On his way to his car, he inflated his ego
by integrating his hatred of chaos
into his tender skinned flowers beds,
transplanted innocently enough
but foolishly waving their blooms
as if they were national flags.

"Lookin' like fuckin' weeds rather than flowers!
Who the fuck needs that?" he'd say.

Evergreens were subjected to unnecessary restraints
because of the countries they were imported from;
they were all tall, stupid people, with too many hats.

"And why is green so ever-fuckin' important?" he'd spit.

Yea, he had the right to drive, he was human,
the Neighborhood Association was wrong.

The penal offenses he'd been accused of (the victim of!)
were piled in his backseat, slouching lazily
but found to be of regulation grade and uniform height.

He demanded dignity in social circles.
All fundamental freedoms of a man like him were evident
from the carbon release at a tap of his toe.
Power and personality unified without interference.

His family cowered in awe, he'd proudly tell you
every time you saw him, and before you asked.
Nothing could hold him back. Nothing.

Given the chance, he'd delete the hell out of you;
never discriminate between you and spam.
Nothing could hold him back, Nothing.
