I'd like to tell you where we live,
but we’re not there, we’re on the move.
The journey is rebarbative:
perhaps a pillow could improve

your ride a little? It is far,
from there to here, home to away.
We’re hitched now to a wandering star,
and we have seen the Moon at play

in the night’s pastures like a foal.
We’ve seen the East and seen the West.
We’ve seen the endless rigmarole
of daybreak and the sun at rest.

So, pull your boots on and we’ll go
where tongue and alphabet are new.
We’ll take our seats and see the show –
beneath the sky, amid the dew.
