Lovely lines and colours, MacPhil. All the green pushing towards the foreground brings to mind the beginning of British Summer Time

Lovely Phil - very woody!
Makes me think a bit of Delaunay.

John

Very woody really!
Here's a Delaunay, sort of a washed-out array of colors:
Well that didn't work. It was the-city-of-paris-c-1911. Here it is again:

Interesting his use of colouration in Cubism.

Yeah, his forms start to break down into pure color, but you can still see they are representational - that may be another reason his name popped up for me looking at your trees. Cezanne is a bit different IMO.

You're welcome, MacPhil; glad the greening notion found favour with you. I'm reminded also of the Seven Coloured Earths of Mauritius, not that I've seen them for myself. I just e-visited while researching the island on a job

What a great find Fliss. I googled and the Seven Coloured Earth is fab. Nature never ceases to be genius!

Indeedy, MacPhil! 'Red and yellow and pink and green, / purple and orange and blue...', little bit of the rainbow song there. Mother and I still like to sing it sometimes
