Oil on canvas, 50 x 40 cms. Another angling pond, fourth in a series of five pond paintings in total. If it snows this winter there'll be a sixth. All things being well.

Another good one JJ,
I got out the tape measure to get a better idea of the size.
It would be interesting to see the series here in one post.

all the best

Thank you very much for dropping in to comment, Ross. Much appreciated.

That's a good idea. I WILL post the entire series, as one post, once I'm finished. I've only one to go but my art is on hold for the Christmas season, or so my wife thinks. :)

Steady away gets you there.

Thanks, mac, for the kind comments. You're very welcome.

We've had three, now looking like four, days of steady mizzle and it's beginning to get me down, or words to that effect. :)

My oils have been consigned to the cupboard under the stairs, by my wife's insistence, for the festive season. She's back to work
on Monday, though, and it's amazing what you can achieve in a few hours. :D

Best

That's lovely, JJ. Where are we, geographically speaking?

Thank you very much, Lake and David, for the encouraging comments. Much appreciated, as always.

Ah, David, these angling ponds are situated in Alkrington Nature Reserve, Rhodes, Middleton, North Manchester. They are on the most northerly edge of Manchester, almost in the Pennines, not far from the highest point on the M62 motorway (1,220 ft). They are a lovely place to walk and fish (not that I fish much). A good find and great painting material.

Best to both
