Oils! Bravo. A welcome valentine.
We fray into the future, rarely wrought
Save in the tapestries of afterthought.

:D Oh Seth. I'd like to say I'd taken the plunge into oils but I'm still teatering on the sidelines.
Still working in Acrylic.
I just find it so much easier.
This is actually 1 of a set of 3 paintings .
I don't normally do flowers.
I did them in sequence. It made sense.
I was experimenting with texture and was happy with the results.
It was more about colour and impression than photo realism.
I did enjoy painting them so I may do more. :)
Thanks for the thumbs up.

Impressionist, expressionist. It's all there, Pauline, and you've nailed the texture.

With this much acrylic paint do you ever have a problem with frame warping? I only ask because I have,
especially if acrylic paint is slathered on the canvas. It doesn't happen with oils. Not yet, at least. :)

Lovely painting.

Best

:D Thanks David.
Chuffed you liked it, and took the time to tell me. :)

Not that I've noticed JJ.
All of my canvases are deep edge, so whether that makes a difference, I don't know.
They seem solid enough.
I also wrap the paint around the edge of the canvas. Does this contribute to the stability of the canvas? I don't know, but I have not (as yet) had any problems.
