In the Pink

The Council of Gammon's Cartographer
announced "we shall rebrand the water.
Let the Irish Sea
be, to history,
consigned. This is Boris' Border."

_____________

a
"Today" declared the Cartographer
"we give a new name to these waters.
Let the Irish Sea
be, to history,
consigned. This is Boris' Border."

b
"Today" said the Gammon Cartographer
"we reclaim and rename our own waters.
Let the Irish Sea
be, to history,
consigned. This is Boris' Border."

c
"It is time," declared the cartographer
"we assigned a new name to these waters.
Let the Irish Sea
be, to history,
consigned. Now they're Boris' Border."

d
The Conclave of Gammon Cartographers
were meeting to rename the waters.
And the Irish Sea
became history
as they coloured/crayoned in Boris' Border.

I Vote A,
mainly because I do not know what "Gammon" means in this context.

Also "The Border of Boris", simply because of my mistrust of the possessive apostrophe.
(Can't they just chill a bit )

I just learned the non-bacon meaning of the word "Gammon",
so can I change my vote?
(Perhaps if more people knew the Gammon meaning, the votes would have been different?)

P.S> Boris seems quite adept at making new borders. One to the North as well soon it seems...

What votes? :) It's just you.

Sure, despite all the signs that this is a rotten borough the polls are still open. To what did you wish to change it?
