Hi Not,

I like this one too. Do you need a question mark? :)

Best wishes,
Fliss

Hi mac, Fliss,
thanks for the comments.
Dithering over the title, mac, just be grateful I abandoned Cop-out 26!

I wasn't sure about a (rhetorical) question mark, Fliss, so omitted it and waited for reactions.
The polls are still open.

Regards, Not

Brilliant Not. Really like this poem - its irony and sentiment. I like the title as is (climate, unchanged) though I think I’d do away with the comma, and have no punctuation at all including that question mark that Fliss mentioned.

Cheers,

Tristan

Hi Tristan.
Glad you enjoyed. I think you're right, I'll cut the comma.

Thanks, Not

Hi Not!
I'm voting for the comma.
Would it work to frame this as a haiku? I suspect you were already toying with that.
And of course I've got my suggestion:

Spring is too early -
What could be greener
than recycled promises?

It's hard to say anything on this subject that doesn't already sound like a cliché, but concision carries a bit of weight and I think, even post-COP this still works, especially the title.

All the best, Jules

Thanks. I reckon I'll quit while I'm ahead :)
