Shaw proposed a new way to spell 'fish' - he suggested 'ghoti'.
'gh' as in 'couGH': 'o' as in 'wOmen': and 'ti' as in naTIon.

Don't they say 'ghoti' for brains, or is it 'tiit'?

Sarah reminded me of a good point the other day, after reading this. A good friend of mine has a band called "ghoti hook" - but I always pronounced the name "goat-ee hook." Now I know better thanks!
