Has anybody ever read 'The Tin Drum'? (I'm sure at least some have).
What a superb book.
'Aunt Hedwig's inscrutable bovine gaze tended to make people think she was pregnant.'
'Only the West Prussian Fire Insurance Building, for purely symbolic reasons, refused to burn down.'
Anybody who hasn't read it, I strongly advise you to. It's a hoot and a thinker from start to (nearing the) finish.
