Re: Dead White Men
Morning John, Yes, we had a little look at the website last night and are confident we could purchase FFs from our local grocers (^v^) Happy to report there was less noise last night and we woke at about 6 feeling better slept, hooray. There are certainly a lot of sleepless people in hospitals; Gill...

Re: Dead White Men
Greetings, John, You're welcome, hooray. Now, Fisherman's Friends; I don't think we're familiar with these at Coo & Co. Do you have a favourite flavour? We're glad they seem to work for you. Have you considered sleeping with your head raised slightly, to overcome the post-nasal drip? I was woken...

Re: The Chain
Greetings, John! Ooh, thank-coos, how kind. Yes, they've come to enjoy entertaining themselves in the early hours, which is a shame. We might listen to soothing music through our earphones tonight, or perhaps rain sounds. Thank-coos for Alanis! We have the album, but we haven't listened to it for a ...

Re: Dead White Men
Greetings, John, The Coo-mmunity appreciates this poem, particularly for having endured a difficult night of late. Sleep is such a blessing, when it comes. But to feel tense and troubled through it is a challenge indeed. We are sorry for the cough; we keep a roll of Polo mints (the non-sugar variety...

( v ) -- Greetings, John. Once more, we meet by the jukebox and members of the Coo-mmunity are asleep as we type, somehow. Soon we shall retire to the NoD, only to be woken at 4am by the eejits overhead, again ( o ) (sigh)

Re: Exile
Greetings, John,
This is a sad poem, and rather stern in some ways. We like the imagery of the salmon and the word 'vicissitudes', for some reason. Is this from a particular MS? We're interested in how it might fit into a sequence of poems, if that's intended (*v*)

Ooh yes, John, great minds! We do like 'the slow / light' and 'the unknown face', the mystery of it. Hooray for cups of tea, especially now it's generally darker (^v^)

Re: What People Build Together
Greetings, John, Members of the Coo-mmunity enjoyed this too. The imagery through lines 2 to 5 is particularly engaging. It's pleasant to think of people building together, especially in such turbulent times. We appreciate the notion of meaning coming into the world from people and of course the ana...

Re: The HyperTexts
Greetings! Happy to report I have two poems published in the Spotlight of The HyperTexts today. One, 'Living with Arthur Ritis', was workshopped here back in 2021, so thanks to everyone who assisted. The other, 'Autumn Turn', is just a little pantoum; MacPhil and John read this recently, so ta muchl...

Welcome, Mike. And hooray for John! I'm glad you've already had some feedback from him. As well as being very knowledgeable, John is one of the kindest people I've met online. And Phil, whom we call MacPhil, is very cool also! I'm not here much at the moment, but I just thought I'd say hello 👋👩🦰 Be...

Mysteries indeedy, MacPie. There must be intriguing fields and orchards in these parts; I wonder whether I might meet the grannies during my next session of pie and brew. That would be pleasant! Word-Bird could come too (^v^)
